Climate Dynamics Undergraduate Offerings

Starting in Fall 2008, the Climate Dynamics Department will be offering an undergraduate course:

CLIM 101: Weather, Climate, and Global Society

The course is designed for a broad cross section of students, both science and non-science majors alike. The only prerequisite is an interest in understanding some of the key issues in climate science and how they affect society. CLIM 101 is being considered for satisfying the General Education Natural Science requirement.

Undergraduate Research Opportunities.

Students who wish to participate in cutting-edge Climate Dynamics research should contact Dr. Barry Klinger. Summer internships as well as research credit during the semester are available. It is preferred that students who participate in research have at least a 3.0 GPA, some experience with a computer language such as Fortran, C++, or Matlab, and at least a semester of calculus.
